The Chutzpa!: Ahmadinejad outraged by comparison to Nazi regime

EDITOR'S NOTE: "The Chutzpa!" is a new satire column written by accomplished Israeli Messianic satirist Tal Lecks. Please note that the content of this article is fictional, and is meant as a light-hearted way of looking at the very real threats surrounding us.

In a recent press conference, Iranian president Mahmud Ahmadinejad was outraged by remarks made by Washington Post columnist Colbert King, who wrote that “the Iranian government is as anti-Semitic as the Third Reich."

"Hitler was a terrible figure.”, responded Ahmadinejad with a deep and grievous voice. “History will never forgive him for not hating the Jews enough", later adding, "being compared to a small time dictator like him is a great offense to me and is another conspiracy by the Jews, whom I hate."

The press conference, which was held in Teheran by the IPAOGA (Iranian Press Association of Great Ahmadinejad) carried on, as one of the journalists dared to ask the president a courageous and thought-provoking question: "Do you have anything to add, oh mighty and powerful, yet fully democratic ruler that we love and fully obey?" [Editors: Original comment shortened due to lack of space]

Ahmadinejad replied: "Yes. I do have something to add. Please stop me if you heard me say this before, but I really hate the Jews."

While they may have heard something similar from their leader once or twice in the past, none of the gathered journalists felt it important to raise the point.

Tal Lecks' commentaries will become a weekly feature on the Israel Today website, and he will be writing a full satire column in our print magazine. Don't miss out - Subscribe Now!
