Israeli Messianic leader Jacob Damkani, founder of Trumpet of Salvation ministries, took to the streets of Tel Aviv last week ahead of the national election to ask Israelis if they would vote for someone who openly professed faith in Jesus, or even for Jesus himself.
Most of the respondents, who were socially-minded Tel Avivians, said they liked Jesus' anti-establishment stand, and would have no problem voting for him, but nearly all of them mistakenly identified Jesus as not being a Jew.
Damkani was quick to point out to each that Jesus was very much a Jew of Israel, as are many of his followers.
