Official logo chosen for Obama's Israel visit

With Barack Obama's first visit to Israel as president of the United States just a month away, frantic preparations are underway to ensure his security and ease the impact of Obama's visit on the residents of Jerusalem.

Israel also wants to mark the visit as a historic event given the severity of the times. To that end, a special logo emphasizing the enduring and unbreakable bonds between Israel and the US has been commissioned and will be plastered all over official signs and documents affiliated with the visit.

To choose the logo, the Prime Minister's Office presented three options to visitors of its Facebook page. A 48-hour poll was held, with the winning logo (above) receiving 66.8 percent of the votes.
