Mohammed al Farah is a 3-year-old boy from Gaza. When he was only 6-month-old, Mohammed was diagnosed with one of the world's most rare auto-immune diseases. Tel Hashomer Hospital in Tel Aviv immediately took him in and began treatment. Due to complications, little Mohammed lost all four of his limbs a year ago, but Israeli doctors have managed to stabilize his condition.
In the meantime, Moahammed's parents have rejected him as an invalid, and his loving grandfather has had to give up his own life to live with the child at the Israeli hospital.
Mohammed's Israeli doctors and his grandfather say that if he is forced to go back to Gaza, Mohammed will die. Only in Israel does he have a chance.
The full interview with Mohammed's grandfather and doctors will appear in the next issue of Israel Today Magazine.
