Israel postpones Kalkilya pullout

Monday, March 28, 2005 |

Israel planned pullout from the Palestinian town of Kalkilya that was supposed to take place this week has been postponed. Israel says the Palestinian Authority has not kept its commitment to disarm terrorists in two other towns, Tulkarem and Jericho. Israeli forces pulled out of those towns over the past two weeks. It's an old sticking point. The Palestinians are supposed to dismantle terrorist groups under the “roadmap” peace plan, but they're unwilling or unable to do it.
