Palestinian terrorists operating out of the Gaza Strip fired two missiles at the southern Israel coastal city of Ashkelon early Monday morning.
One of the projectiles was intercepted by Israel's Iron Dome anti-missile system. The second landed in an open area causing no injuries or damage.
Israeli aircraft retaliated by striking two underground missile launch sites in northern Gaza belonging to the coastal enclave's Hamas rulers.
A day earlier, Gaza-based terrorists fired two mortar shells into southern Israel, causing no injuries or damage.
