Galilee’s first university

Israel is getting its first university in the Galilee thanks to a big donation from a Hollywood producer. Israeli-American movie mogul Arnon Milchan contributed a whopping $100 million for the facility which will be located in the development town of Carmiel. “I want to attract the most talented, qualified, academic body for education,” said Milchan, who has produced more than 80 movies, including “L.A. Confidential.” Since Galilee has a mixed population, the new university will benefit both Jews and Arabs.
