Arab Stone Throwers Wound Jewish Toddler

Palestinian Arab stone throwers attacked Jewish motorists in Jerusalem's Armon Hanatziv neighborhood Thursday evening, wounding a 2-year-old Jewish girl.

The child was traveling in a vehicle targeted by the assailants, and suffered a moderate head injury when at least one stone crashed through the car's windows.

The girl was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors listed her in stable condition.

Later that night, Israeli authorities arrested four Arab men between the ages of 15-20 from the adjacent village of Sur Baher. The four were scheduled to stand trial Friday morning for the potentially fatal stoning attack.

Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat Israel's Channel 10 News that the time has come to "treat a stone as a weapon" and crack down hard on those who indiscriminately attack Jewish men, women and children.
