An Islamist terror group operating out of the Egyptian Sinai Peninsula on Friday night fired a missile at the southern Israel resort city of Eilat.
The missile was intercepted and destroyed in mid-air by Israel's "Iron Dome" anti-missile defense system.
Local residents said that moments after the whine of the air raid sirens began, they heard two loud explosions. One eye witness managed to record the incident with the camera on his mobile phone.
Israel deployed an Iron Dome battery to Eilat in July of last year in response to growing terrorist activity in Sinai.
