‘A good first step’

Thursday, March 31, 2005 |
Rabbi Ehud Bandel, who heads the Conservative Movement in Israel, says the Supreme Court ruling on conversions is a good first step. “Rome was not built in one day and neither the religious pluralism in Israel,” Rabbi Bandel told Israel Radio. The Orthodox believe that the Conservative and Reform movements have changed age-old laws that were handed down to Moses on Mt. Sinai.
