"All hell has broken loose in Syria,” says Salem, 24, as he lay in a hospital bed in the Israeli city of Safed inGalilee. "I never dreamt that we would receive medical treatment from our enemies." They do not know the Hebrew term hesed, meaning charity, but they experience it first-hand.
