Since the start of the current Gaza war, the staff of Israel Today has traveled to the front lines several times to deliver pizzas and soft drinks provided by our readers to the young men and women deployed in defense of our nation.
During the most recent pizza run, an Israel Today staffer noted the unbelievable outpouring of unity with and support for our troops that has characterized this war.
“I’ve never seen anything like it,” he said. “There were piles and piles of socks, underwear and everything else the soldiers could want or need. They put on a pair of socks, go into Gaza to fight, and come back for a clean, dry pair.”
And it’s not just donations sent from afar. Israel’s Channel 2 News showed footage of Israelis setting up mobile kitchens and massive grilling stations to provide weary soldiers with a bit of home cooking and friendly fellowship.
And you, our dear readers, have been part of all this.
Watch the following video from our first visit to the Gaza front a week ago. The narration is in German, but we have provided English subtitles.
