At least two Palestinian Arab terrorists set upon a group of elderly Israeli women walking along the Armon Hanatziv promenade in southern Jerusalem on Tuesday morning.
Two of the five women were stabbed repeatedly in the upper body before the assailants fled in the direction of the nearby Arab village of Jabel Mukaber.
Israeli rescue personnel that responded to the scene listed both victims as being over the age of 80. Both were rushed to a nearby Jerusalem hospital in moderate condition.
Police later announced that they had arrested two suspects. At press time the manhunt was ongoing for suspected additional participants in the attack.
