On July 31, 2014 a little "bundle of love", Tal-Or, saw the light of day. Tal means "dew" and Or means "light". The little girl was named in memory of her father, Sergeant Major Bayhesain Kshaun, who fell in the Gaza war just 10 days before the birth of his fourth child. "Bayhesain began his service every day at 4am and he fell during the daylight hours", his wife Galaitu explained the reasoning for the name of her daughter. "We hope that this little girl will bring light to the world in these dark days."
Many Ethiopian immigrants integrate into army and police units. The fate of the Kshaun family is not an isolated case. Many Ethiopian families live below the poverty line and struggle to find their place in Israeli society.
We would like to bless our immigrants with "a bundle of love" for the upcoming holidays and need your support. Help us prepare as many food packages as possible to bring some joy to each family!
