Laura Bush concludes turbulent visit to Israel

US First Lady Laura Bush has wound up a brief, but turbulent visit to Israel, where she encountered both Jewish and Moslem protesters at the holy places here in Jerusalem. But she took it in stride. "As we all know, this is a place of very high tensions and high emotions," Mrs. Bush said during a visit to a Crusader Church in the Israeli Arab village of Abu Ghosh near Jerusalem. "I think the protests were very expected. If you didn't expect them, you didn't know what it would be like when you got here…Everyone knows how the tensions are and, believe me, I was very, very welcomed by most people."
