Israel reacts skeptically to Abbas’ comments

Israel has reacted skeptically to Abbas’ comments regarding an end to suicide bombings. The army said it has thwarted many suicide bombings since the cease-fire began. In the past week alone, three Palestinian teenagers were arrested as they tried to sneak into Israel with explosives belts. Palestinian terror groups are also using the cease-fire to build more bombs, without any hindrance from the Palestinian Authority. In addition, Palestinian schools and day camps are named after suicide bombers, who are described as “martyrs.” Abbas is trying to put on a moderate image for a Western audience, but in the Palestinian territories, the glorification of terror continues.
