Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas will hold a summit on June 21, their first meeting since declaring a truce in Egypt on February 8. "We will exert maximum effort to ensure that we have a good summit," said Palestinian chief negotiator Saeb Erekat. Topping the agenda will be coordinating Israel’s planned pullout from the Gaza Strip, which is due to begin in mid-August. Other issues include strengthening the truce and the handover of cities in Judea and Samaria to the Palestinian Authority.
