Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas underwent a coronary angiogram at a hospital in Amman, Jordan, after complaining of exhaustion and chest pains. The procedure, which ensures that arteries are not clogged, was successful. “Things are fine and I'm in very good health,” said Abbas, who is 69 years old. Abbas has pushed for an end to more than four years of Israeli-Palestinian bloodshed and he is the force behind the Mideast cease-fire, so his health is seen as vital for regional stability.
