"Zionism Live"

Greening the desert is not just a gesture, but primarily a sign of connection to land and soil. Many people see an opportunity to personally participate in the fulfillment of biblical promises by planting olive trees. "The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad; the desert shall rejoice and blossom like the crocus" (Isaiah 35:1)

Our olive grove will be planted sometime between the Jewish New Year for Trees (end of January 2018) and Passover (end of March 2018) in cooperation with our agriculturist Oren Shalom. We are currently preparing the entire infrastructure and irrigation systems for this purpose. The exact date on which the olive trees will be planted planted will be announce in due time, so that those who would like to personally participate in the tree planting can fly to Israel and plant their own olive tree in the sandy soil. This is an idea that several Israeli friends have suggested.

This weekend we will drive south to Nitzana and discuss technicalities and strategy with Oren to make this project succeed. We love projects like this because that's "Zionism Live". Believe me, seeing a green patch in the desert, is something unique. This happened ten years ago when we established our vineyard and now once again with the olive grove - thanks to your efforts. The desert is alive and blooming! We will keep you up to date and informed.

Shabbat Shalom!

In honor of Israel's upcoming 70th anniversary year, to sponsor a tree will cost only $70 instead of $95. You could make it a family effort by sponsoring seven trees as a family and we will plant an eighth tree free! Your personal planting certificate in your name will be sent to you by mail as soon as possible.
