Female suicide bomber arrested

Monday, June 20, 2005 |
A 21-year-old female Palestinian suicide bomber was arrested at the Erez border crossing in Gaza, after she aroused the suspicion of Israeli soldiers. The woman claimed that she needed medical treatment in Israel, but 10 kilos (22 pounds) of explosives were found strapped to her body. Once inside Israel, she planned to blow herself up in a crowded place. It’s another example of how Palestinian terror groups exploit Israeli humanitarian assistance. And then, the Palestinians complain about roadblocks and checkpoints! The much maligned checkpoints have saved many innocent Jewish lives. Terror groups have tried to breach Israeli security in recent months by using women and teenagers. Dozens of attacks during the so-called “cease-fire” have been thwarted.
