Israeli border police commandos stormed into a Gaza hotel and evicted about 150 Jewish nationalists, after several days of clashes between settlers and soldiers. Most of the nationalists came from settlements in Judea and Samaria to resist the pullout from Gaza which is less than two months away. About 1,200 soldiers took part in the raid. One woman wept as she was evacuated with her husband, seven-year-old son and one-year-old baby. "I lost my whole family in the Holocaust,” she shouted. “What did we come here for? What did we build a family for, for what? For what? I am begging you...leave us here. We came to strengthen a strong nation." The settlers resisted passively, and no one was hurt.
