One of the most important festivals of the Jewish people, Passover, is coming! The Israelites exodus from Egypt and liberation from slavery is celebrated during Passover. The "feast of unleavened bread" also falls within the week long festival. It starts with the Seder evening and then matzah (unleavened bread) is consumed for a week. "Seder" means "order" and this ceremony marking the beginning of the festival has a fixed order of service.
During the Seder certain foods with symbolic meaning are taken together. The Seder leader reads the corresponding passages from the Bible and explanations from the Passover Liturgy (Hagada), which explains the meanings of all the items shared. Everyone participating in the Seder should consider himself as having personally participated in the exodus from Egypt and should carry over the "telling" of the story to his children.
