Abbas wants another summit with Sharon

Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas says he expects to hold another summit with Prime Minister Ariel Sharon before the Gaza pullout. The two leaders met last month in Jerusalem but failed to achieve results. "The meeting was difficult and the results were small,” Abbas told the London-based Arabic newspaper “Asharq al-Awsat.” “But there was agreement on continuing contacts and holding another meeting with the Israeli Prime Minister after completing preparations that can lead to better results." Israeli officials confirmed that another summit is under discussion, but nothing is final.
