Wednesday the largest number of North Americans making aliya (coming to live in Israel) arrived on two chartered El Al flights at Ben-Gurion Airport. Over 500 Jews from the United States and Canada came with aliya organization Nefesh b’Nefesh in partnership with the Jewish Agency as they have come to build new lives for themselves in Israel. In his welcoming speech, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said, “We have always needed you, but now we need you more than ever.”
