For the first time since 2001, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is visiting France. While there, he hopes to strengthen Israeli ties with the French. Sharon’s visit came days after teenage boys threw three bottles of acid at the Sinai Jewish day school in Paris on Sunday. France has promised ‘zero tolerance’ for anti-Semitic acts, according to French Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy, who said, “When someone threatens a Jew, they threaten the Republic.”
