Music Festival

Wednesday, July 27, 2005 |

A two-day music festival took place on a hilltop in Gush Etzion in the Judean Mountains. The festival’s organizer, Yehuda Leuchter, made it clear that the gathering wasn’t about politics. “We want to give people some other choices besides fighting,” he said. “It’s time to rise up and give people a chance to be bright.” In addition to the concerts that ranged from folk to reggae to heavy metal, participants could buy kosher food, clothing and artwork, and attend Torah study sessions.
