Palestinians create competitions for Israeli farmers

If the government’s withdrawal plan from Gaza succeeds, not only will the Jews of Gush Katif be uprooted from their homes, they will also leave behind the greenhouses they have built. While they’ve been urged to sell them, these Israelis say that the Palestinians who take over their established facilities will have an unfair advantage over Israeli flower farmers. The Israeli government has decided to use the greenhouses to provide jobs for Palestinians, while promising to compensate Israeli farmers. But Gush Katif farmers believe this will create an unfair advantage that will harm Israeli flower businesses.
