Jerusalem double-decker tour bus

Sunday, July 31, 2005 |

With the relative calm following years of Palestinian terrorist attacks and Israeli reprisals, tourism in Israel is on the rise. As a result of increased tourism, Jerusalem’s Egged bus company has begun operating its first double-decker tourist bus. Jerusalem’s tour bus visits 27 sites citywide and provides tours in eight languages. The bus was a 500,000- skekel ($110,600) jointly initiated project by Egged and a private company. The new double-decker bus replaces the city’s former 99-line.
