Israel’s Palestinian collaborators to be evacuated

Thursday, August 04, 2005 |

Fourteen Palestinian families began moving from the village of Dahaniya to the Palestinian town of Rafah. Another 67 families who claim to be Israeli, but hold only PA identity cards, will also have to move. A High Court hearing scheduled this afternoon will determine where to transfer the remaining families, who claim that moving to a PA-controlled area would endanger their lives. Located in the southeastern corner of Gaza, Dahaniya is known as “Israel’s collaborator village,” as its residents spied for Israel during the evacuation from Sinai.
