With just over 3,500 children living in Gush Katif, the Education Ministry is concerned about 1,500 of them who arent registered for the upcoming school year, which begins September 1st. For the parents of these 1,500 children, registering their children in schools outside of Gush Katif is tantamount to giving in to the government’s plan, scheduled to begin just four days from today. The Education Ministry expects enrollment to increase in the coming days.
