After pullout, Hamas will continue 'armed resistance'

Sunday, August 14, 2005 |

The power struggle between the Hamas terrorist organization and the Palestinian Authority (PA) continues to be a thorn in the side of PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas. Two leaders of the armed militia said they will continue to use "armed resistance," a euphemism for terrorist attacks, after the Israeli retreat from Gaza. "This is a message to the Israeli enemy that resistance will continue and that the removal of the occupation was a result of this resistance that will continue," said Abu Ubaida, one of the Hamas leaders.
