As Israel withdraws, Arab leaders from neighboring countries are expressing a desire to visit the Gaza Strip once Israel is completely out. An Arab summit, originally scheduled for August 3rd, was postponed because of the death of Saudia Arabia’s King Faud. There is talk of holding it in Gaza to strengthen the Palestinian Authority.
