Middle East envoy for the EU backs Palestinian demands

In a weekend interview in the Arab newspaper Al-Quds, Marc Otte, the EU's envoy to the Middle East, said that Israel should duplicate what it's done in Gaza in the rest of Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem. "Our position regarding the West Bank and East Jerusalem is identical," said Otte. "They are occupied territories, and the future of Jerusalem will also be discussed in negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians," said the European Union's envoy.
