An Israeli plane carrying 15 tons of hurricane relief supplies is heading to the US, with baby food, diapers clothing, bedding and water. “America has been there for Israel so many times when we've faced adversity,” said Foreign Ministry spokesman Mark Regev. “And I think there's a very spontaneous feeling in all levels of Israeli society that now that America is going through a difficult period, we have to stand there and do what we can.” Israel is also sending a 25-member team of doctors and psychologists, and private citizens have been urged to donate money.
