The Israeli government has informed evicted Gaza settlers that if they don't leave hotels where they have been staying at the expense of the state, each family will be charged 150 shekels ($33) a day for their rooms. The price will double in two weeks. The aim is to pressure the settlers to accept alternative housing provided by the government. But the settlers, who lived in spacious homes, don't like the cramped apartments the government is offering. In the end, however, it may be an offer they can't refuse.
