Prime Ariel Sharon has denied rumors that he's planning more unilateral steps in Judea and Samaria, after pulling out of Gaza. "There is only one plan, and that is the ‘roadmap,’" Sharon said. He said he was inundated with requests from foreign diplomats for clarifications, after his aids suggested that Israel might pull out of some disputed territory unilaterally, while annexing settlement blocs, if the peace process remains stalled. The US-backed roadmap calls for the creation of a Palestinian state through negotiations. But Sharon has said he will not move forward until the Palestinians keep their first roadmap commitment to dismantle terrorist groups.
