Yom Kippur went by smoothly

The synagogues were overcrowded for the prayers for atonement. Throughout the day the medics and paramedics of the rescue service Magen David Adom had their hands with 1.999 people needing treatment on the holy day. 83 people fainted due to the fast and 16 needed resuscitation. 99 Women were rushed by ambulance to hospitals to give birth. 187 children neede first aid, after being injured on bicycles, skateboards, roller blades and skates. Since no cars are driving on the highest jewish holy day, children have the streets for themselves.
