This weekend began the demonstrations against the American fast food chain McDonalds, in coordination with the worldwide campaign against the firm. Fifty members of various Israeli green organizations demonstrated against the killing of animals for food, the abuse of employee rights and because of the health hazards eating hamburgers presents for children. Friday they demonstrated in the up-scale Tel Aviv, Shenkin Street area and today demonstrations are planned in front of McDonalds' chains throughout Israel.
