Top terrorist killed in raid

Monday, October 24, 2005 |
Israeli forces raided the Tulkarem refugee camp in Samaria, and clashed with Palestinian gunmen who opened fire on them from a car. Two terrorists were killed, including the leader of the Islamic Jihad military wing in Judea and Samaria, Luay Saadi, 30. The army said he was responsible for a series of attacks in recent months in which 12 Israelis were killed. Despite a fragile cease-fire, Israel has been launching nightly raids in Judea and Samaria for the past month. Israel says it reserves the right to target “ticking bombs”--terrorists who are planning imminent attacks. Islamic Jihad is promising revenge.
