Ambulances raced to the scene, after a Palestinian suicide bomber blew himself up at a crowded open air market in the northern Israeli town of Hadera. He targeted people waiting on line at a falafel stand. Police say five Israelis were killed and 30 wounded. “I heard a big explosion,” an eyewitness told Israel Television. "I saw people flying through the air." Bombings have been rare during the eight month old cease-fire, but this one was expected. Islamic Jihad, which claimed responsibility, had promised revenge for Israel's killing of one of its leaders earlier this week in Samaria.
