Two senior terrorists assassinated in Gaza

Tuesday, November 01, 2005 |

Israeli aircraft fired missiles at a car in the Jebaliya refugee camp in Gaza, killing two terrorist commanders, one from the Islamic group Hamas and the other from the Al Aksa Martyrs Brigades. Both groups promised revenge, vowing to "open the gates of hell." Israel said the Hamas commander, Fawzi Abu al-Qarea, was responsible for the 2004 double suicide bombing in the port of Ashdod that killed 10 Israelis. Israel has carried out a series of deadly air strikes in Gaza since five Israelis were killed in a Palestinian suicide bombing last week.
