Palestinians donate child’s organs to Israelis

In a rare, heartwarming act of reconciliation, a Palestinian couple whose son was shot dead by Israeli soldiers, has donated his organs to three Israeli children desperate for transplants. The boy, Ahmed Khatib, was carrying a toy M-16 assault rifle and was mistaken for a terrorist during an Israeli raid in the town of Jenin. “I don't mind seeing the organs in the body of an Israeli," said the boy's father Ismail Khatib. "I believe in peace." The mother of the girl who received the boy's heart was in tears. "It's a remarkable gift," she said, "and an act of love."
