Omri Sharon, a member of Israeli parliament and son of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, is perceived as the most corrupt public official, according to a poll. The most corrupt Israeli minister, the poll showed, was Tzachi Hanegbi (Likud), followed by Agriculture Minister Yisrael Katz (Likud), Education Minister Limor Livnat (Likud) and Finance Minister Ehud Olmert (National Responsibility). Closing the top five was the prime minister himself. Among those parliament members considered least corrupt were newly-elected Labor Chairman Amir Peretz, Yosef Lapid (Shinui) and Avraham Poraz (Shinui). According to the poll, 69 percent of the public believe that the level of corruption in Israel is high or very high.
