CIA agents learn from bombing scene

Thursday, December 08, 2005 |
Two Central Intelligence Agency visited the scene of this week’s suicide bombing at a mall in the coastal town of Netanya.. The US investigators photographed the area and were briefed by the bomb squad in order to pick up tips that could prove helpful for American troops in Iraq. This was not the first such visit by US agents. Police officials said the CIA has shown growing interest in how Israel deals with terrorism and is closely following the damage caused by such attacks in an effort to minimize harm. The CIA agents noted that at Israeli crime scenes, people place photos of the victims, whereas at US crime scenes it is common to post photographs of the suspects.
