Militant killed in botched grenade attack

A Palestinian militant was killed when a grenade he tried to throw at Israeli troops exploded prematurely in a refugee camp near Nablus, witnesses and the Israeli army said. Ayad Hashash, 18, attempted to attack soldiers scouring Balata refugee camp in Nablus for militants. He was member of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, an armed wing of Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah faction. In a separate incident, soldiers in Nablus shot and wounded a Palestinian who tried to throw a concrete block at them. Another Palestinian sustained burns when he tried to throw a firebomb at IDF troops.
