Think tank calls for Int’l supervision in J’lem

Tuesday, January 17, 2006 |
A document compiled by the Jerusalem Institute for Israel Studies stated that Israelis and Palestinians must permit the international community to administer the holy and historical sites in Jerusalem. The document states: “The strong connection of members of all monotheistic religions to the city on the one hand, and the lack of trust between Israel and the Palestinian Authority on the other justifies some international intervention in overseeing the area, especially from the security standpoint.” The entire document is expected to be presented at the Herzliya conference on Jerusalem, Jan. 21-24.
