Herzog, Labor #2, asks Barak to join party

Member of Knesset Isaac Herzog, son of former president Chaim Herzog won the number two slot of the Labor Party, headed by Amir Peretz. Herzog called on former prime minister Ehud Barak to join the party list. Barak refused since he believed Peretz associates would rig the list. Yet, party sources said he would join if he were offered a top spot, which is “more realistic than people think.”
