At least 10 hurt in Tel Aviv blast

Thursday, January 19, 2006 |

A suicide bomber injured at least 10 people at a sandwich shop near Tel Aviv’s old central bus station this afternoon. A bank employee who witnessed the attack said, “We heard a serious blast near the cinema. A large number of ambulances arrived from all directions. The blast literally shook all the windows.” Police said so far the suicide bomber was the only person killed in the explosion. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack, the sixth suicide bombing in Israel since a truce took effect last February.
