Saudi Arabia promises PA $100m

Amidst the uncertainty of continuous aid from the international community, the Palestinian Authority has nothing to fear if Saudi Arabia gives the $100 million promised to PA chairman Mahmoud Abbas during his December visit. The money was said to be pledged after the European Union’s refusal to transfer payments of some $60 million. The Saudi funds would pay for January salaries and give the PA some financial breathing room.
