The Ministry of Education has launched a new website that will teach children about democracy and government. On March 28, when those age 18 and above head to the polls to vote, 1st through 8th graders will head to www.kids.gov.il to vote as well. “The site educates students to be active citizens, and allows them to participate and have an influence on the social level,” Education Minister Meir Sheetrit said. Before the elections the children will have to register and they can submit slogans for different parties. So far various surveys have been launched and more than 200 students have begun to participate.
